Welcome to the Thurgood Marshall Middle School Library

Our mission is to ensure that students, staff, and school community are effective, ethical users and producers of information and ideas. This involves teaching info-tech literacy skills, nurturing a love of reading, preparing students to meet state standards, and partnering with the 21st century school community to foster lifelong learning and global citizenship.

MMS Library is here to support YOU! Check out our info-tech videos, Mustangs Love to Read book club, and Books To Go 2.0 curbside pick up of book holds. Also, you are ALWAYS welcome to email me directly at cwhite@osd.wednet.edu

1.) OSD Tech Support: Check out our district's new Technology Family Resource Center. There are a TON of self-help videos and infographics to problem-solve tech issues. You can also call our Technology Help Desk at 360-596-8530. Leave a detailed voicemail and OSD Tech Support will call you within 24-48 hours.  AND How do I... Technology Q & A


2.) Books To Go 2.0: MMS Library Catalog: Click HERE to learn how to place a hold on a book and curbside pick-up.

 

3.) Mustangs LOVE to READ: Join the new Schoology GROUP: Mustangs LOVE to READ with the code: 4MD5-HV3P-DTZ3R

  • Safe space to share book recommendations, ask for book recommendations, and debate books. Monitored by Mrs. White.
  • ALL students are welcome to join. 

4.) MyTRL: FREE eBooks, audiobooks, and videos with MyTRL. Follow along with this video on "How to use MyTRL & OverDrive".

  • Snap n Read Universal: chromebook extension that allows the user to read any website page aloud, in a variety of languages, MLA cite your source, etc...
  • How to Use MyTRL OverDrive: download free ebooks, audiobooks, and videos using your district assigned MyTRL account. 
  • KAMI Toolbar Tutorial: KAMI extension allows the user to upload a PDF and insert text, video, voice record, draw, highlight, and more.
