THANK YOU MCC!

A huge thank you to MCC for supporting our entire staff! Each month, during one of our staff meetings, they provide a wonderful breakfast for our team as we gather before students arrive. A special shout-out to Nicole Butigan, who is always willing to come in to prepare and set up everything!

We are so appreciative of the incredible community that continues to support TMMS and our staff. Your generosity and care mean so much to us.

~ 4 The Love Foundation / Information for Families ~


TMMS is once again partnering with 4 The Love Foundation to provide extra food support for families during the November break. Below is a Google Form to sign up for support. 


~ Important Information ~
  • The deadline for requests is October 30th, 2026.
  • Pick-up will be on November 23rd, 2026, after 12:30 pm (times are determined by schools).
  • Please note: Each household may receive one Thanksgiving food box. If your family has students attending more than one school, please submit only one request per household.
  • No dietary accommodations.

Bingo Night Fundraiser

Join us Friday, October 30, from 6 - 8 p.m. for a spooktacular night of bingo, prizes, costume contests, a photo booth and concessions including pizza! Bring your family and friends for a fun-filled evening supporting the Citizen Science Institute at Thurgood Marshall Middle School. We hope to see you there!
 

TMMS Girls Basketball


Registration is now open to grades 6 - 8 for  Girl's Basketball. Your student will need: 
  • A current sports physical on file for your student to begin practices, which begin on Monday November 2nd. 
  • Payment of $60. Call the school if you prefer to pay over the phone. 
  • If you qualify for F&R lunch, you need to have filled out the Consent to Share form for us to waive fees. Or check Skyward Family Access for the tile to fill it out electronically. 
  • Please visit our Athletic website if you have questions about the registration process.

Conference Week


Conference week is scheduled for the week of October 26 - 30th. This is a great time to meet your students' teachers and to hear about their progress so far this year.

We will release at 12:15 everyday. No lunch is served at school, however sack lunches from the cafeteria may be taken home.

Our conference schedule is as follows:

Monday, 10/26: NO Conferences
Tuesday, 10/27: Arena conferences in the big gym. 1:00 - 4:00 & 4:30 - 6:30
Wednesday, 10/28: Arena conferences in the big gym. 1:00 - 4:00 only
Thursday, 10/29: Arena conferences in the big gym. 1:00 - 4:00 & 4:30 - 6:30
Friday, 10/30: NO Conferences
