The purpose of the associated student body is to promote good citizenship, to encourage a high standard of scholarship, to arouse a spirit of pride within our school, to demonstrate the practical amount of democracy, to contribute to the welfare of the school and community, and to promote cooperation between the faculty and students
These students will be selected from a pool of leaders who are identified at the beginning of each school year by individual classrooms. The following offices are available:
Elected Officers will be President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Commissioners of Athletics, Ecology, Publicity, Spirit and Safety. All officers can be in grades 6-8 except President and Athletics. These offices shall be held by a 7th or 8th grader.
ASB Meetings will be held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month although are suject to change due to school activities. Each teaching team will elect through their own process two representatives and an alternate to attend monthly ASB meetings. If one of the representatives is elected as an officer, then a new alternate will be elected. This process will be completed no later than the second week of October.
