Marshall Middle School has found an innovative way to get kids involved in their community while raising money to fund programs not covered within the school budget. The Marshall CARES program teams our students with others in the community to enhance habitat at area preserves and on our own school campus. The kids raise money by collecting pledges ($ for community service hours worked). No wasteful products are sold - just kids giving back to the community and the environment and having a whole lot of fun. Stay tuned for detail about this springs events.
You can make these fundraising events successful! Encourage your student to participate. Ask what they’re learning about Marshall CARES, about themselves and about the projects as we approach the events. If you want to get further involved, volunteer to help at an event. Watch for information in newsletters, flyers and on the Marshall web site. Family members are welcome to participate, too! Contact Melissa Chase rdmchase@comcast.net if you have any questions or can help with an event.
